Potpourri The floral fabric in this quilt came from the large skirt of a formal dress. I had used some of the fabric in two previous quilts done in 2002. The flowers in "Johnny's Garden" came from the skirt, and the trees and bushes in "Cherry Blossom Time" came from the smocked top of the dress. The dark border fabric in Potpourri is a velvet upholstery fabric that feels good to the touch. When I quilted this piece, I stitched in flowers and leaves on the solid pink and green areas. |
