Cardinal This work started with a piece of silk I hand-painted which forms the background of the quilt. The cardinal was printed onto fabric and fused to the quilt. Some painted fabric trim was used for embellishment at the bottom left of the quilt. The quilt was then mounted onto a painted canvas (the brown you see which forms the "border" around the quilt). Additional embellishment was added to "break the border." The whole picture was coated with acrylic medium. |
